Gov Yusuf Confirms Maimota as Kano Head of Civil Service

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has confirmed Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota as the substantive Head of Civil Service in the state.

The confirmation was announced on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.

Maimota’s elevation follows her recent appointment in an acting capacity after the removal of Alhaji Abdullahi Musa.

Her confirmation comes amid ongoing efforts by the state government to reform the public service and improve administrative efficiency.

The announcement also coincided with the unveiling of the sixth tranche of payments aimed at settling outstanding gratuities and death benefits owed to pensioners and families of deceased civil servants.

Governor Yusuf charged the new Head of Service to utilise her experience in strengthening the civil service system, with emphasis on consolidating ongoing reforms and enhancing efficiency and accountability.

He congratulated Maimota on her appointment and expressed confidence that her leadership would bring measurable improvements across ministries, departments, and agencies.
