Gov. Yusuf Says Kano People Will Judge Him by Performance
Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has said his political future will be determined by his performance in office, insisting that governance and service delivery remain his top priority rather than early political considerations ahead of the 2027 elections.
The governor stated this while responding to questions on political speculation surrounding his second-term ambition, noting that he is more focused on fulfilling his administrationโs mandate to the people of Kano State.
According to him, leadership is measured by impact, and the electorate will ultimately assess his administration based on the level of development and improvements delivered across key sectors.
Governor Yusuf stressed that his government remains committed to implementing policies and projects that directly affect the lives of citizens, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and social welfare programmes.
He added that distractions from political discussions would not derail his focus, reaffirming that his administration is driven by the responsibility to deliver meaningful results to the people.
The governor maintained that his attention remains on governance, stating that he is confident the people of Kano will fairly judge his administration based on its achievements when the time comes.
