Drone Forge Africa Hosts First Drone and AI Workshop in Kano, Trains Over 100 Young Innovators

Drone Forge Africa has successfully hosted its first-ever two-day Drone and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop, held on January 7, 2026, at the Technology Incubation Centre, Kano.

The landmark workshop brought together some of Africa’s brightest young talents and innovation leaders from across Nigeria, reinforcing the growing interest in emerging technologies among youths. Participants were drawn from states including Jigawa, Plateau (Jos), Bauchi, and other parts of the country.

The programme featured multiple impactful sessions designed to equip participants with practical skills, innovative thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset focused on addressing real-world challenges within their communities. At the end of the workshop, over 100 participants left with valuable tools, fresh ideas, and renewed confidence to explore opportunities in drone technology and artificial intelligence.

A major highlight of the workshop was its hands-on and practical approach. Beyond theory and speeches, participants engaged in live demonstrations and practical sessions, with many flying a drone for the first time—transforming long-held aspirations into tangible experience.

Drone Forge Africa expressed appreciation to its sponsors, partners, facilitators, and participants for their support and commitment, noting that the success of the workshop was a collective effort.

Participants were also encouraged to apply the knowledge and skills gained, as the workshop marks the beginning of a broader journey toward innovation, problem-solving, and technological advancement.

The organisation concluded by congratulating everyone involved and reaffirming its commitment to empowering young Africans through technology-driven initiatives.
