Gov. Yusuf Hails Kano Police Over Swift Arrest in Dorayi Killings

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commended the Kano State Police Command for the swift arrest of suspects linked to the killing of a housewife and her children in Dorayi Quarters, Kano.

The governor described the police response as professional and timely, noting that it demonstrated commitment and courage in the protection of lives and property across the state.

He said the incident, which claimed the lives of a mother and her children, deeply saddened the people of Kano, but added that the speed with which the suspects were tracked and arrested has helped restore public confidence in the security agencies.

Governor Yusuf praised the Commissioner of Police and the officers involved for deploying intelligence-led operations that led to the arrests, stressing that such professionalism must be sustained to deter criminal activities.

He assured that his administration would continue to support the police and other security agencies with the necessary logistics and cooperation to ensure that criminals have no hiding place in Kano State.

The governor also called on residents to continue supporting security agencies with timely and credible information, emphasizing that community cooperation remains critical to sustaining peace and security.

He further directed that the suspects be thoroughly investigated and diligently prosecuted to ensure justice for the victims and to serve as a deterrent to others.
