Governor Yusuf Felicitates Kano Christians on Christmas, Calls for Peaceful Coexistence

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended warm Christmas greetings to the Christian community in Kano State and across Nigeria, describing the season as one that embodies love, sacrifice, unity and peaceful coexistence.

In a message issued on Thursday, the governor said Christmas provides an important moment for reflection on shared human values such as peace, tolerance, compassion and selfless service, which he described as vital for harmonious living in a diverse society like Kano State.

Governor Yusuf urged Christians in the state to use the festive period to promote peace, unity and collective progress, while calling on all residents, irrespective of religious or ethnic background, to continue living together in mutual respect and understanding.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting the rights of all citizens and ensuring an environment where individuals can freely practice their faith without fear or discrimination.

The governor also appealed to religious leaders to sustain messages of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing that unity remains the strongest foundation for sustainable development in the state.

Governor Yusuf wished Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous New Year for all residents of Kano State.

He further advised motorists to strictly observe traffic regulations during the festive period and beyond to ensure safety on the roads.
